Banteay Srei is a 10th-century Cambodian temple located 25 km northeast of the main Angkor group, renowned for its intricate, well-preserved red sandstone carvings and miniature scale. Dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, this "Citadel of the Women" or "Citadel of Beauty" is a premier example of Khmer art, often visited via a 45-minute car ride from Siem Reap.
